About the art

The art offered here ranges from my original watercolors and fine art prints to the more fun and less-serious mini-matted prints and art cards. However, regardless of price, please be certain that each is designed and offered to provide you with the highest quality product at the most affordable prices.  I try to always utilize the finest materials available and take much time in researching new products and processes before I jump aboard a new adventure.  I want my collectors to be happy with my art and in order to do so, will take the time and expend the effort to make that happen.  A brief description of the types of art, and how we get it to you, follows:

Original Watercolors.

For folks unfamiliar with my work, my original art is painted in transparent watercolor on 300-weight paper.  Any pigment soluble in water is watercolor, but transparent watercolor is paint that you can see through.  White paint is not used in transparent watercolor.  The white is bare paper, so any image you see that is white was painted around. The images reflected in my watercolors may be found in the islands of the Caribbean, Bahamas and lower Florida wilds.  Click here to begin viewing original art.

Fine Art Prints.

All art offered here (unless otherwise indicated) is printed on heavy archival paper utilizing fade-resistant inks.  All posters, prints, limited editions and giclées are signed on both the image and the white border so the work may be framed to image or showing the border. Mini-Matted Prints.

This is "suitcase art" - it travels well - as all things should! These minis are 5 X 7 images printed on archival paper with fade resistant inks -matted to a size of 8X10 - and fit into a standard frame.  Each has a white top mat and you may choose the color of the inner mat. Each is signed and packaged in a clear envelope. Click here or more information on mini-matted prints and to begin viewing images available in this format.  


   

Mini-matted prints are all double matted. The outer mat is white. You have a choice of these colors for the inner mat.

Art Cards.  Many of my images are available as note cards - printed on heavy cotton paper and presented with a colored envelope and individually wrapped.  These cards will hopefully persuade some of you to revisit the almost archaic art of note writing - I still enjoy getting "snail" mail - despite all of the technology that surrounds us.  Click here for more information on art cards and to view images available in this format.

"Framed Mini-Matted and an Art Card"


 Shipping.  Please allow two weeks for delivery.  If you have a special request or a deadline, call me and every effort will be made to accommodate. In order to give you the very best rate, shipping will NOT be automatically added to your order through the shopping cart. It will be added by Carol after packaging using the rates listed here. Original watercolors are sent boxed and crated by a professional framer. Shipping charges for originals varies depending on the piece, it's size and value - the shipping charges shown on the individual web page is an estimate only. Call or e-mail for details.

The fine art prints - posters, open edition and limited edition prints are sent rolled in a tube and the cost for shipping these is $9.75 regardless of quantity.  Giclées are sent flat, in a box and the cost for shipping these is $12.50 for each image. 

Art cards and matted mini-prints are sent flat and the cost for shipping 1-8 of these is $6.50.  If you order some prints and some art cards/mini-matteds they are always sent separately.  Each has a separate shipping rate.
